Trap cameras set up near nest sites have yielded some images of chimps. This so far the best quality image (the cameras only work during the short dry season and can not handle the high humidity during the rainy season). What is interesting are the long forearms and the resulting angle of the back as well as the knuckle walk with the hands in a straight line with the body and not angled outwards as is normal which chimps. Thank you for your interest in the Bili area mystery ape and in the work of Karl Ammann.
